Battambang Starch Factory

In 2007 Lom Orng raised both donor funds and private capital to build a starch factory in Samphov Loun province, Battambang. We trained 3,000 poor families to grow cassava. The project has 'disempoverished' the district. Factory profits run our vocational training centre in Battambang town and our Phnom Penh HQ.
